No, unfortunately I don't grow my own, so I'm at the mercy of the greengrocers.  It's definately in season now, so the right planting time is in the autumn.  Plant your fledling now though since you don't have a choice, and next year it should have sprouted more shoots underground and began to grow you a few more for your money.</description>

This is a bit random as clicked on this link because I have this book but you mentioned purple sprouting on one of your posts. Do you grow your own? The reason I ask is that we've just started a veg patch and were given some fledgling purple sprouting and told to plant it now. Everything I read says that you plant it in the Autumn and it's in season now. Only reply if you have time. Many thanks</description>
