Cut a long story short: There’s a monthly foodblog photography event called “Does My Blog Look Good In This”, whereby photographs are posted and a winner is chosen. This month, I decided to play along.
While I don’t for one moment think that my photography is up to the standards of, for example, Peabody, Bea, or Nikki, I decided to enter this shot anyway. What the hell - what can I lose? A bit of criticism never hurt anybody. Or did it?

This photo was originally used for my recipe for Rosemary Pesto back at the start of October.
Oh, and if you like this article, please consider digging it.

Wow - I for one love the photo! Great light and a feelign of tranquility (strange, given that there’s a knife pointing at my head! :o))

Scott, it’s a very intriguing photo. You can red a lot in (like in any good piece of art) it and the quality of the photography is very good for me (but, just like you, I am not an expert). Well done for trying and good luck!

And should win….because not only does the image get right to the point ;-), but the color scheme in your blog is very catchy!

scott that is a fantastic picture, especially against the background of the well used cutting board. the colours of the items all complement eachother which makes it all the more pleasing to the eye, not to mention the focal point of the lighting on the tip of the knife.
