Scotland and more…
I haven’t posted a lot lately so thought I’d take the opportunity to fill you in on what I’ve been up to; there’s not a massive amount to tell, but summer feels good and I’d like to share it with you.
Firstly, we’re freshly back from a holiday in the Highlands of Scotland; that’s where these photographs are from, and I think you’ll agree that it’s an absolutely beautiful place well worth a visit. Trees, hills, and water. What could be a better way to get away from everyday life? It’s where my family (on my Father’s side) come from, so we head back to the same area every year.
The garden is also coming along well; the raspberry canes (planted last year) seem to have settled in and have given us almost more raspberries than we can eat. The various types of currants we planted have fruited well, and both the gooseberries and apple tree we planted seem to have established. Gosia has now decided she wants to add chickens to our garden; I don’t. I can already predict complaining neighbours!
I’ve recently passed the penultimate module in my BA(Hons) degree, so soon enough can say goodbye to the busy schedule of work / study / play with Mia…It’s something I’ve never really got to grips with – how to time manage well enough to accomplish all of these things without the others suffering.
See you again soon – I hope you’re enjoying your summer as much as I am!
What have you been up to this summer?
