Rosehip Photograph

Rosehips are the seed pods of the wild rose or “dog rose”. They grow in hedgerows everywhere and countryside is literally full of millions of them each year. The hips contain 20 * more vitamin C than oranges so are super good for you!

The insides contain itchy hairs which have to be removed before eating; that’s actually really easy, and you can read more about them and some recipe suggestions on my 5 Uses For Rose Hips page.
