I’m happy to announce that I have the opportunity to give away a free “Mayan Magic” Chocolate Making Kit to one lucky blog reader.
In short, the kit allows you to make your own chocolate from home and contains all the essentials: cacao powder and butter, natural sweetener, you get the idea.
I’ve not tried it and couldn’t possibly tell you if it’s any good, but hey, it’s CHOCOLATE and it’s FREE, so what could possibly go wrong?
To win, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post (or send me an email) before the 22nd of April 2009 with your idea for flavours / fillings for the chocolate…

I love fruit or nut fillings for chocolate. My favorite combination would have to be blueberry/almond filling for milk chocolate or dark chocolate. That just sounds good to me! I love anything blueberry.
Or a key lime filling would be good.
Good vanilla with a dash of cardamom, cinnamon, chiles, or lavendar (something spicy and aromatic). A tea (or chai) filling could also be nice. This would definitely require experimentation!
Wow!! I like your thinking – cardamon is a great call – good luck in the competition!
Creme de menthe!!
I’m a huge fan of super dark chocolate with super sweet fillings, like coconut cream or lemon. OR, bacon. Yup. weird, but so good. I’m in the states, so I doubt I can win, but it was too intriguing to not try!
Bacon? That certainly grabbed my attention but I’m not sure if I’d like it or not!
Pomegranates & sweet cream in dark chocolate…
Booze lots and lots of booze.
Actually I would probably do a bunch of fruit such as oranges, peaches, etc. Since I have been on a fruit covered in chocolate kick lately.
i would love to do melons in chocolate i think cantaloupe would be wonderful thanks for the giveaway
I am very simple I like Chocalates with strawberries…..
May Canadians enter? think caramelized hazelnuts would be really good.
Is there anything that doesn’t taste good covered in chocolate? I love fruit and nuts covered in chocolate. And of course marshmallows.
I love chocolate with almonds! Yum!!! Great giveaway!
you know kiwi, pom,, love camael, bananas, coconut..oh heck chocolate is yummy
Yum, thank you for the giveaway!
My teenage son is a fool for chocolate, and he loves doing fun stuff in the kitchen. I’d love to win this and have a fun mother/son time.
I really love raspberry with chocolate – I think I’d try putting a super thin layer of raspberry between two thin layers of chocolate. Yum!
I like nuts and chocolate.
Thanks for the giveaway!

I like chocolate and raisins along with almonds.
Well, with dark chocolate I’d make a salted butter caramel filling. To fill white chocolate, something withe rasperry, pistachio and rosewater, maybe.
And for a milk chocolate filling, I’d go with rhum and bananas!
Hello everyone!
Amazing flavour idea’s – you’ve already got me thinking…
Jake
Hmm, raspberry with a bit of port maybe? Or the traditional chocolate filled with a cherry. What a fun idea! I would love to experiment.
Well, being in Québec, I would most certainly have to do something with maple syrup.
Dark chocolte with almonds, dried cranberries or dried blueberries would be my choice.
I would love a strawberry filling – thanks for the giveaway
I don’t like a lot of stuff in my chocolate so I would do something like strawberry filling, vanilla, white chocolate or some sort of nuts.
I’d like to try making a blackberry filling of some sort.

I think a Bavarian Creme Chocolate would be awesome
I am just so into maple and mocha as fillings.
Orange! Orange is chocolate’s best friend
My favorite filling is caramel in my chocolate. This is a very yummy giveaway. Thanks.
Peppermint, possibly spearmint for a lighter flavour. To top that off my buds are calling out for a berry of some sort, leaning towards something red for the contrast in colour. If none of the above then Gooseberries…. Odd, I know :p
some kind of orangey cremeinside dark chocolate.
and I’d have to fill white chocolate with dark bitter chocolate
This is an amazing gift idea! I would make some lavender chocolate, or if putting filling in some delicious orange creme!
I would use raspberry as a filling.

Chocolate what more can you say, I would add nuts to my chocolate such as almonds and cashew. Thanks for the giveaway

I like the idea of adding chile powder to chocolate..spice it up. Then again, I LOVE raisins and nuts in my chocolate. As for a filling, like a truffle, I would go for caramel or rich chocolate fudge. I think I just gained five pounds talking about this!
Chocolate and chilli are both Mexican flavours so I guess it should work together quite well – it certainly does in some of the more savoury dishes.
i would put chunks of fresh lemon inside the chocolate… sadly, i have no idea if that would be totally horrible or amazingly great.
Wow wouldn’t that be such fun! I would love to try a coffee mousse filling or liqueur-soaked cherries or something coconutty. Where I live in Nantes, in Muscadet territory, the local chocolatier’s specialty is Muscadet-soaked Muscadet grapes in chocolate. Interesting and powerful!
The Muscadet soaked grapes in chocolate sounds delightful!
(send me some)
Actually, seeing as you don’t live very far (if I assume correctly you are a mere hop over the Channel) it could be done, even if they are fresh chocolates (sending it to the states might have seen you unwrapping rancid chocolates). Really want some? I just need an address. FB.
Chocolate coated salt and vinegar Hula Hoop. The perfect combination of sweet and savoury.
Almonds and coconut!! YUM!
Caramel and nuts. mmmmm!

Dark dark chocolate and juicy brandy soaked cherries. Mmmmm.
A favourite of mine. I have a bar of Green & Blacks downstairs with dark chocolate and cherry (minus the brandy!) which is delicious.
white chocolate, rosewater and lychee? Ooh…. dark chocolate with cardamom, black pepper and tiny bits of candied ginger? Man…. I could sit and think all day!! I’d love to do something zany with basil and rosemary…
I’d flavor the chocolate – either milk or dark – with an oatmeal stout and then mix in peanuts and pieces of pretzels. I love the combination of salty and sweet!
(I hope people in the States can win this one!)
How about a chai tea filling? No kidding, I’ve had chai tea chocolates and they were great.
Pooh, I missed the deadline
