Twitter Stuff

Elise from Simply Recipes says that Twitter is “where the party is”, and who am I to argue?  A new social networking site chockablock with food bloggers, it’s certainly worth checking out.

I’ve just signed up and have no idea what I’m doing (as usual) – you can find me lurking around at http://twitter.com/realepicurean – click on “follow” to see what I’m up to!

I’ll give it a whirl myself, hoping to relish the challenging discipline of the 140 word limit.

Nick: I think that’s the point. Little “tweets” from each other. I’ll learn to understand it eventually ;)

well, twitters are like getting facebook status updates, and i’ve seen it in action – pretty cool, but somehow i couldn’t help but feels like an overexposure of some sort… maybe i’m just weird.. ;)

ps: love your new site design by the way :D

Hmm, also spent some time reading up about Twitter last week. In one way it seems like a great deal of fun, but on the other hand I barely have time to update my blog as much as I’d like, so I worry it will be another way of wasting time productively and the blog will suffer more… So for now I’m not Twittering, but as a woman I reserve the right to change my mind ;-)

Lil: You’re not weird (that I know of) – social networking is one of those things you either get or you don’t. I don’t, so far, but I’m working on it! Thanks for the opinion on the site design by the way, always appreciated.

Jeanne: Sound opinion. I don’t have enough time, either.

As always, my hopes outstripped my capacity, but I’ve finally started getting to grips with Twitter. A revelation – it helps keep my blog up to date when (all too often) I don’t have time to post at length.
