Despite the unexpected but welcome sunshine this weekend Autumn is definitely on its way. In season are various types of fruits including plums, blackberries and apples, with chestnuts making their annual appearance, too. So what could be better for use in our seasonal food blogging event “In The Bag” than the classic combination of fruit and nuts?

Perhaps calling a recipe “perfect” seems a bit big-headed, but just taste this and you’ll see why; I certainly didn’t invent the tomato bruschetta (and have never even been to Italy) but have recently become literally obsessed by it!
