Cock Soup

I was in Tesco last week when I saw this packet of “Cock Soup” and just couldn’t resist. Yes, its immature, but I’m a guy and that means I laugh at rude words. Sorry about that!

So who fancies some Cock Soup? Nourishing, as it says on the packet; it must be from all the protein. There’s nothing like the real taste of fresh cock when you’re feeling a little empty.

Still, its great marketing. My immaturity meant that I actually paid the 49p to buy this just because it said “cock” on the packet. Damnit!

If you’ve got your own stories about “rude food” I’d love to hear them – leave me a comment!

diva@theSugarBar: Doesn’t need a strifry? Even better. I’m definitely trying this one. A great recipe!

    4. Y says:

Sooo..um.. Have you tried it yet? ;P

    5. scott says:

Y: Hehe, no not yet. I’ll probably try it after work one night. Nothing like the taste of cock to raise the spirits in an evening (note to self: enough with the cock jokes) ;)

    6. Andrew says:

Surprised no one has mentioned cock-a-leekie…

    7. scott says:

Andrew: I didn’t even think of that one. So many obvious jokes!

    8. Oh that’s hilarious. No rude foods to share, but I did recently post on bizarre/weird/unique foods….

    9. scott says:

bleeding espresso: I’ll have to check it out then. I’ve started having a taste for the weird lately!

    10. Tanya says:

Are you kidding – I grew up drinking cock soup – real popular in the islands. Grace Cock Soup … brings back memories.

    11. Jez says:

I’ve got one! It’s a drink, though, rather than food:

    12. scott says:

Thanks Jez – I’m sure drinking pschitt is a delight for the tastebuds!

    13. Alexx says:

I don’t have any stories to share, but I just spat water all over the keyboard as I tried not to laugh….I’m obviously juvenile too!

    14. Lil says:

      * giggle giggle *

definitely way more entertaining story than my friend’s “their idea of vegetarian dish is meat with plenty of vegetable in the dish”… ;)

    15. scott says:

Alexx: Nothing wrong with being a little juvenile every now and again :)

mycookinghut: Great to make someone smile!

Lil: Vegetables can be funny too, I’m sure. With my level of maturity, I’m sure there have to be some phallic shaped carrots or such-like out there!

    16. Jeanne says:

Well, there’s always spotted dick… and if it’s rude and amusing vegetables you are after, try these for size:

    17. Hi Scott,

Unfortunately I did not see any rude foods myself but I noticed this post today:

Though I will share this link with you :)

    18. scott says:

Jeanne: Haha, they truly are quite rude!

Coffee and Vanilla: Oh dear! And chocolate of all food types to choose. So very lifelike, even if I’m no expert ;)

    19. leigh says:

man. I would have done the same thing. Much like me friend who went to Germany and brought us back a box of ‘Mini Dickmanns’ – little teacake-esque mallow treats. Lovely. But you were still eating Dickmanns.

    20. scott says:

leigh: I love little tea cake things – they’re so retro! I can imagine a creamy dickmann is just the kind of thing to much at a weekend ;)

    21. scott says:

Dhi: I have a feeling this could go on forever. I just saw some crisps here in Poland called “fuks” (or similar). Hah!

    22. [...] started when I checked my email and found Scott from RealEpicurean left me a note about rude food, that probably would end up to be a long list… with lots of [...]

    23. Vlad says:

Well, in addition to a packet of the aforementioned soup, I do have a can of “CRAP in ulei picant” from Romania sitting on my shelf. It’s of course, “carp in spicy-hot oil”. (Next to it, I have a box of “New Lemon Barf” from Iran that has the slogan “Wash your clothes in Barf!” cheerily printed on the side in English. Evidently “barf” means snow in Farsi.)

    24. Vlad says:

Ritter Sport offered a chocolate bar labelled “Extra Dick” in Germany in the 1990′s.

It doesn’t seem to have made it to the States for some reason.

    25. Tom says:

I found this page by doing a Google search for that Ritter Sport chocolate! I remember seeing it when I was younger, and wanted to show my wife a picture of it because we were talking about it today (I live in California now, and she was at CostPlus World Market buying some English candy and Patak’s curry sauce to give me some treats from “back home”)

Anyway, now I have someone backing me up that I’m not crazy, so here are my contributions:

In Germany, I had an ice cream with a stick made of bubblegum, which was called BumBum.

Also, back on the genitalia theme but with a slightless less “politically-correct” entry… I saw what I believe to be chillies in a grocery store a few months ago, called Negro Pods. That reminds me of another thing… If you do a Google image search you can also find a famous (online, anyway…) stand at a food court in some mall. It’s called “Flavor of Negros”, but its name actually comes from an island called Negros!

I have all the rude food you could ever eat on my Man Eater site!
