This is a round-up of recipes submitted for our seasonal food blogging event “In The Bag”. This month we chose Purple Sprouting Broccoli as the ingredient - and I’m really impressed with everyone’s ideas for this great vegetable.

Purple sprouting broccoli is one of those vegetables that has such a short season it just cries out to be eaten as much as possible while you still can.

So we all know about honey, don’t we? Bees collect nectar from flowers (the type of which influences the flavour of the honey) and make honey in beehives. Simple. Why can’t all food be as pure as this? (OK, so it’s a little more complicated as this article shows).
