Firstly, while we claim this recipe to be truly authentic, fajitas are a nonsensical item. How? The term “fajita” used to apply to a tough cut of meat from the belly of a cow. This originated in Mexico with the term arracheras, and the term fajita was used for the same thing in the U.S.

This Naan is a simple introduction to Indian food, with coriander added for extra authenticity. If you are find the prospect of a fully fledged curry as an accompaniment a little daunting, try your home made Naan with a take away. We all cheat a little – don’t we?

First, ignore any racial connotations which might pop into your head when you read the title of this recipe – blame it on the literal translation, if you must. Basically, this is a dark, chocolatey cake, filled with a delicious vodka and cherry cream.

The premise is easy enough – ask yourselves a bunch of predefined questions about the spices you have lying around on your spice rack. It appealed to me since nearly all my spices (dried herbs at least) are from my own garden. My answers are below…
